Detective Meldrick Lewis

Meldrick Lewis works homicide out of Baltimore's cramped squad room, an experienced detective known for his sharp mouth and sharper instincts. He's quick with a joke, quicker with an opinion, and carries himself like a man who's seen every version of a bad night the city can produce and still shows up for the next one.

Clark Johnson plays him with a loose, unforced cool that never tips into swagger for its own sake — the wit is real, but so is the fatigue underneath it. The show trusts him to carry both comic timing and quiet devastation in the same scene, and he never seems to be acting either one.
