Detective Chambers

Detective Chambers is local law enforcement drawn into contact with the fledgling Behavioral Science Unit, a working cop with an unsolved case and little patience for theory. He wants results, not psychology lectures, and meets Holden Ford and Bill Tench's methods with the wary practicality of someone used to solving crimes the old way.

Duke Lafoon plays him with the flat, unglamorous authority of a real detective, someone who has seen enough bodies not to be impressed by federal credentials. He grounds Mindhunter's procedural texture, giving the Bureau men a skeptical audience whose grudging cooperation makes their new profiling ideas feel earned rather than assumed.
