Detective Beau Felton

Beau Felton works the homicide unit in Baltimore with the swagger of a man who thinks he's got the job figured out. He's brash, a little smug, quick with an opinion, and eager to prove himself against the older hands. Married with kids, he carries himself like someone still trying to convince others—and maybe himself—that he belongs.

The show uses Felton as a study in erosion: his confidence reads at first as competence, and the writing lets you watch that certainty curdle under the weight of real cases and real consequences. Baldwin plays the bravado without softening it, so when cracks show they feel earned rather than telegraphed.
