Sohn plays her with an even, watchful calm that makes Kima the show's clearest set of eyes — someone who cares about doing the job right in an institution that punishes exactly that. The writing lets her competence speak for itself, never turning her into a lesson, which is why she feels so credible and so easy to root for.
