Chilchuck Tims

Chilchuck is a halfling locksmith and trap specialist hired onto Laios's ragtag dungeon-diving party, mostly for the money. Small, wiry, and perpetually exasperated, he is the voice of caution in a group with none, grumbling about danger while still doing the dangerous work competently and well.

He is the show's designated adult in the room, and the writing uses that role for constant comic friction: every time the others treat a monster as a culinary opportunity, Chilchuck is there groaning about how none of this is normal. Tomari plays the exasperation dry rather than shrill, which makes his grudging competence, and his occasional flashes of real fear, land harder.
