Caska

Casca is a mercenary captain in the Band of the Hawk, second only to Griffith and fiercely loyal to him. She meets Guts as a suspicious rival, sharp-tongued and quick with her blade, wary of any newcomer who might threaten the unit she has fought so hard to belong to.

She could have been a token woman-in-armor, but the writing gives her real authority and a prickly, defensive pride earned through combat, not granted by plot. Miyamura's voice work keeps her clipped and controlled even when fury or hurt leaks through, making her guardedness feel like armor rather than a flaw.
