Cameron Howe

Cameron Howe is a punk-haired programmer barely out of her teens, hired by Joe MacMillan to reverse-engineer a computer's BIOS in a race no one told her was reckless. She is brilliant, blunt, and allergic to authority, treating office politics with open contempt and code as the only thing worth respecting.

Mackenzie Davis plays her prickliness as armor rather than quirk, so every flash of vulnerability lands like a small concession wrung out of someone who hates conceding. The show trusts her talent without softening her abrasiveness, and that refusal to make her likable on anyone's terms but her own is what makes her magnetic.
