Brother Dusk

Brother Dusk is the eldest of the three cloned emperors who rule the Galactic Empire together, one man split across morning, noon and evening of a single unbroken reign. Where his younger self, Brother Day, wields power and Brother Dawn is still being shaped into it, Dusk has settled into the role of memory: patient, watchful, keeping the Empire's long habits alive.

Terrence Mann gives Dusk the stillness of someone who has already lived through every crisis his younger selves are still panicking about. The premise hands him a strange gift — he gets to play both an old man and a version of a much younger one's future — and Mann uses that double vision to make imperial complacency feel earned rather than foolish.
