Brother Day

Brother Day is the reigning face of the Galactic Empire, one of three cloned emperors ruling in staggered succession — the man in his prime, vain and commanding, convinced the throne's genetic dynasty makes him eternal. He meets Hari Seldon's prophecy of imperial collapse with irritation and menace, treating dissent as an insult to be punished rather than a warning to be heeded.

Lee Pace plays absolute power as a performance the character is only half-aware he's giving — preening, petulant, occasionally frightened underneath the grandeur. The show hands him the impossible vanity of being one of three identical selves, and Pace turns that conceit into real menace, making Day's certainty feel like the most dangerous thing in the room.
