Arnold

Arnold is Dev's best friend in New York, a towering, amiable presence who's usually along for the ride on whatever scheme or outing the night calls for. He's easygoing to a fault, unbothered by embarrassment, and treats food, friendship, and fun with equal devotion. Loyalty comes easy to him.

Eric Wareheim plays Arnold with a big, guileless sweetness that never curdles into caricature — he's the friend who says the strange thing out loud and means it sincerely. The show uses his size and deadpan warmth for comedy, but it's his genuine devotion to Dev that keeps him from being just a sidekick.
