Synthetic Sin

• Comedy

A silent romantic comedy about a newlywed who escapes her playwright husband's failures by staying in New York, where she tangles with gangsters and finds unexpected opportunity. Brisk and charming, with the moral elasticity of late-silent comedy—Betty Fairfax rewrites her own story through sheer gumption and lies.
