Kamen Rider Saber Prologue
A fifteen-minute prologue short that sets up Kamen Rider Saber's world and characters, made for Chinese audiences. Think of it as a samurai-themed superhero origin sketch—gorgeous practical effects, bright primary colors, and the kind of earnest melodrama that makes the Kamen Rider franchise so addictive. Perfect for genre enthusiasts already in the orbit, or the curious who want to know what all the fuss is about.

Kamen Rider Zero-One: What Will Hop Out of the Kangaroo? Decide on Your Kangar-own! That's How You Know It's Aruto!2019
The direct predecessor that Saber Prologue recaps; see how this world was built. Sleek AI-versus-humanity themes wrapped in fantastic suit design and genuine emotional stakes. The natural entry point.
But Fifty episodes is a commitment, and the tonal whiplash between comedy and tragedy takes adjustment. Japanese tokusatsu is a specific flavor.

Kamen Rider Blade: Blade vs. Blade2004
Card-based power system with a similar magic-and-swords aesthetic to Saber itself. Exceptional creature design and fight choreography; this is where the franchise got genuinely ambitious with practical effects and mythology.
But Early-2000s pacing feels glacial by modern standards. Subtitled, and the plot threads tangle messily in the middle stretch.

Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO Movie Wars Mega Max2011
A rocket-powered Kamen Rider with a teenage school-club vibe. Joyful and weird; it doesn't apologize for being silly, and that's exactly why it works. Great for learning to love the franchise's particular tone.
But Forty-eight episodes of variable quality. The comedy-to-action ratio gets annoying if you're hungry for actual plot momentum.

Something you would not have found on your own.
Avataro Sentai Donbrothers The Movie: New First Love Hero2022
Same Japanese special-effects tradition, same era, but Donbrothers asks 'what if we broke the template?' where Saber asks 'what if we perfectioned it?' Both are finding the edge of what tokusatsu can be.
A Super Sentai series (tokusatsu's sister franchise) that abandons five-ranger teams for five bizarre individuals who transform into the same body. Absurdist, genuinely funny, and structurally the opposite of what these shows traditionally do. A creative explosion.
But Deliberately chaotic and anti-climactic. If you watch tokusatsu for power fantasy and clear heroism, this will frustrate you. Fifty episodes of controlled weirdness.

Birdman1967
Tokusatsu DNA runs through its veins; miniature model work and practical effects that influenced everything that came after. Campy superhero action from an era when that was the whole point.
But Extremely cheap-looking by intention and budget. Only four episodes; feels more like a curiosity than a full meal.

Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider W & Decade: Movie War 20102009
A full-series crossover that celebrates everything the franchise built. If you've warmed to Kamen Rider, this is a love letter that makes sense only *because* you've invested time. Genuinely epic in ambition.
But Requires watching earlier series to land emotionally. Narratively fractured and notorious for its incomplete ending. Divisive even among fans.
