Zhi Zhang / Whiterose

Whiterose leads the shadowy Dark Army and, under her public identity as Minister Zhang, holds real political power in China. She speaks in calm, unhurried riddles about time and destiny, treating conversations as chess moves toward some vast, unstated design. Elegant and controlled, she seems to regard the chaos around her as merely a stage.

B.D. Wong gives Whiterose a stillness that reads as absolute confidence—every line delivered like she already knows how the scene ends. The character's obsession with a singular, almost mystical vision of time gives the performance a strange, hypnotic register, so that even small talk feels like prophecy. It's a masterclass in menace without raised voices.
