Zelda enters the world of Peaky Blinders as a woman whose presence unsettles the careful order Tommy Shelby has built. She watches more than she speaks, reading the room before committing to a side, and carries herself with a composure that suggests she has survived rooms far more dangerous than this one.

Rebecca Ferguson brings a controlled stillness to the role, letting silence and posture do the work that dialogue often does elsewhere in the show. It's a performance built on restraint, so that small shifts in expression register as significant, keeping the audience uncertain of exactly what Zelda wants.
