Yuri Briar

Yuri Briar is Yor's devoted younger brother, a sharp young officer in the secret police who adores his sister to an intense, almost smothering degree. He arrives suspicious of her sudden marriage, eager to inspect this new brother-in-law, and endearingly incapable of hiding how much he needs his sister's approval.

The joke is that the person most likely to unravel a family of spies is a state security agent whose real motive is pure sibling jealousy. Kensho Ono plays that tension beautifully, snapping between chilling professional composure and squeaky, wounded devotion the instant Yor is involved, which makes him funny and faintly dangerous at once.
