Yuri

Yuri turns up on the fringes of Futurama's sprawling cast, a gruff, thickly accented figure who speaks in blunt, no-nonsense declarations. Whatever task or workplace he's dropped into, he treats it with weary professionalism, unbothered by the show's usual chaos, more interested in getting on with the job than marveling at the future around him.

Maurice LaMarche's voice does the heavy lifting here, layering a stony Eastern European cadence over a handful of lines until the character feels fully formed despite minimal screen time. It's a small, efficient joke of a performance — deadpan, specific, and gone before it overstays itself, which is exactly why it lingers in memory.
