Young Linda

Young Linda appears in flashback, a woman whose years of hoping for a child have worn her down without breaking her hope. She is warm, a little guarded, married and eager, watching other women's pregnancies with an ache she tries to keep quiet. Her life is defined by waiting.

Alona Tal plays longing without self-pity, letting small looks carry years of disappointment the script never states outright. The flashback structure gives Linda's younger self weight before we know how her story lands, and Tal makes that patience feel lived-in rather than symbolic, so the character earns sympathy instead of being handed it.
