Katey Sagal voicing both grown and child Leela creates an eerie, moving continuity — you hear the adult's resolve already forming in the kid's voice. The writing uses her not for cheap sentiment but to seed real ache beneath Leela's toughness, making her origin land as pathos rather than exposition.
