Young Kevin Pearson

Young Kevin is the middle triplet in the Pearson household, a kid whose charm comes easily and whose confidence covers for how little attention he actually gets. He clowns around, competes with his brother, and drifts toward sports and looks as the things he's praised for, while the quieter stuff underneath goes unnoticed.

Parker Bates plays him with a breezy, class-clown ease that makes sense of the adult Kevin's charisma and his neediness in one stroke. The show uses this childhood timeline to seed adult wounds without telegraphing them, and Bates gives Kevin just enough hurt under the grin that you feel the shape of what's being overlooked.
