Young Camille

Glimpsed in flashback, young Camille is a teenager in Wind Gap navigating a fraught household presided over by her mother Adora, and the close, complicated bond with her younger half-sister Marian. She is sharp-eyed and watchful, already sensing that something in her family is wrong long before she has words for it.

Sophia Lillis plays her with a stillness that feels earned rather than performed, letting small shifts in her face carry the dread the adult Camille narrates around. The flashback structure depends entirely on her ability to seem like a girl who already knows more than she's saying, and Lillis makes that ambiguity genuinely unsettling.
