Wynn Duffy

Wynn Duffy is a mid-level criminal fixer in Harlan County, the kind of man who has survived decades in organized crime by never being important enough to kill and never being loyal enough to trust. He talks in a soft, needling drawl, brokers deals for whoever's paying, and flinches, visibly, whenever real violence gets close.

Jere Burns plays cowardice as high comedy without ever losing the menace underneath it — Duffy is oily, funny, and self-preserving to a degree that becomes its own kind of dark integrity. He's the show's best running joke about survival: too clever to be brave, too scared to be trusted, endlessly entertaining either way.
