Worms is one of the many odd, one-scene faces that populate Futurama's crowded future — a name that flickers by without ceremony, delivered with the show's usual deadpan confidence that the joke doesn't need explaining. Whatever the moment, he treats it as perfectly ordinary business in a world that never is.

The character works because Maurice LaMarche can make even a passing, barely-sketched voice sound fully lived-in, giving throwaway lines the same commitment he brings to Kif or Morbo. It's a testament to Futurama's density of jokes that even its smallest names get a real voice behind them.
