She's one of the countless unnamed faces drifting through New New York — a background voice at Planet Express, a bystander at some catastrophe, a stranger with one good line before the scene moves on. Futurama's universe is thick with people like her, glimpsed once and never named.

Tress MacNeille is one of animation's great utility players, and a role this small is really a showcase for pure craft: a fully formed voice — cadence, attitude, a whole implied life — built out of a few seconds of dialogue. It's the kind of work you don't notice until you notice how much texture it gives the world.
