Winona Hawkins

When Raylan Givens gets transferred back to Kentucky, his ex-wife Winona is already there, working as a court stenographer and married to someone else. She is composed, sharp-tongued, and clearly still unfinished business — quick to needle Raylan, quicker to remind him why they didn't work, and not at all sure she wants him back in her life.

Natalie Zea plays her with a dry, unhurried wit that keeps Winona from ever feeling like a mere romantic obstacle; she has her own resentments, her own competence, her own reasons for every decision. The show lets her be genuinely torn rather than simply waiting around, and Zea makes that ambivalence feel lived-in and funny at once.
