William Taft's Head

In the year 3000, past celebrities and politicians survive as talking heads bobbing in glass jars, and William Taft's head is one of the many relics wheeled out for background gags and cameo appearances. He carries himself with the mild, dignified bafflement of a former president reduced to novelty furniture, occasionally popping up in official capacities his mortal body no longer requires.

The joke is baked into the premise before he even speaks: an obscure, portly president bobbing eternally in a jar is funnier the less anyone remembers about him. Phil LaMarr gives him a fussy, put-upon formality, playing the absurdity completely straight, which is exactly why the sight gag lands every time he's wheeled past.
