Weasel Monster

A monstrous, weasel-shaped creature that turns up in Futurama's stranger corners, more a gag than a fully drawn character. It exists to be absurd and vaguely threatening, the kind of one-off oddity the show conjures when it wants a laugh from pure visual nonsense rather than plot.

Maurice LaMarche's voice work is the whole engine here: he can make a throwaway creature sound like it belongs in a much more self-serious show, and the mismatch between his gravelly commitment and the character's silliness is the joke. It's a small, efficient bit of Futurama's anything-goes weirdness.
