Wario (ワリオ, Wario?) is a video game character, created by Nintendo. He made his first appearance in the 1992 Game Boy game Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins as a self-aggrandizing, overweight, and narcissistic doppelgänger of Mario and the final boss. He eventually spun-off into his own franchise, starting with Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3.
