Warden Vogel

Warden Vogel runs the prison Bender and company occasionally end up locked inside, a minor bureaucratic figure of Futurama's future-noir universe. He's brisk, rule-bound, and utterly unbothered by the absurdity around him, treating incarcerated robots and humans alike with the same flat institutional indifference.

He's a small gear in Futurama's comedy machine, but David Herman gives him the dry, put-upon cadence of every DMV clerk and prison guard who's seen it all and stopped caring. The joke is his total normalcy amid chaos — a straight man planted in the middle of the show's lunacy, which is exactly what makes brief appearances land.
