Walt Lloyd

Walt Lloyd in Lost (2004), played by Malcolm David Kelley.

Walt is a ten-year-old boy traveling with the father he barely knows when Oceanic 815 crashes, stranded now on an island that seems to notice him more than it should. Watchful and often sullen, he carries a wary distance from Michael and a closeness to his dog Vincent, plus a habit of turning up near things right before they happen.

The show trusts a child actor with genuinely eerie material instead of cute-kid filler, and Malcolm David Kelley plays Walt's unease as real rather than performed — a boy who senses the island is paying attention to him and doesn't know what to do with that. It makes him unsettling well before anyone explains why.

Walt later left the Island on the raft with Michael, Jin, and Sawyer to search for rescue. However, while they were out at sea, they were attacked by the Others and he was kidnapped. He was eventually returned to his father in a prisoner exchange for Jack, Kate, and Sawyer, and he and Michael left the Island on a motor boat.
