Vyolet

Vyolet turns up at Planet Express as a wide-eyed new intern, instantly smitten with Fry and eager to make things official. She's affectionate to an almost alarming degree, showering him with pet names and grand declarations before anyone else has caught up, which needless to say complicates things around the office.

Tress MacNeille plays her with a bubbly, unfiltered sincerity that turns romantic comedy shorthand into something funnier and stranger — she's not a schemer, just a person operating at full emotional throttle in a show built on deadpan restraint, and the mismatch is the joke.
