Vito Spatafore

Vito Spatafore is a capo in Tony Soprano's crew, a big, hungry man with a bigger appetite for money, food, and respect. He's ambitious and thin-skinned, quick to flex his muscle to prove he belongs among the made men, and eager to move up in the only world he knows.

Gannascoli plays him as bluff and blustery on the surface, a guy who talks tough and eats harder, but there's a watchfulness underneath that hints at more going on than the character lets show. The writing uses him as connective tissue in the crew's daily business, and that groundedness pays off enormously as his story deepens.
