Vincent "Vince" Howard

Vince Howard arrives at East Dillon High as a kid the system has already written off — quick-tempered, quick-footed, and one bad decision from real trouble. Coach Taylor sees an arm and a chance before anyone else does. Guarded and proud, Vince doesn't trust help easily, but he wants out, and football looks like the only door open to him.

Michael B. Jordan plays Vince's toughness as armor rather than swagger, so every flash of vulnerability lands hard. The show refuses to make his turnaround easy or clean, and Jordan finds the tension between a kid desperate to be good and a world that keeps testing whether he can afford to be.
