Vin Diesel is the Birch family's minivan — and, in the show's typically unhinged fashion, he talks. Gruff, loyal, and improbably wise for a hunk of metal on wheels, he exists mostly to ferry the kids around while dispensing gravelly pronouncements in a voice that leaves no doubt whose action-movie persona he's channeling.

The joke is the whole point: Nick Kroll doing a dead-on Vin Diesel growl out of a minivan is exactly the kind of gleeful, throwaway absurdity Big Mouth specializes in. It never overstays its welcome, never explains itself, and lands because the show trusts you to find a sentient family car voiced like a street-racing action hero funny on its own terms.
