Veronica Allen

Veronica Allen enters Bosch's orbit as the widow of a murdered nightclub owner, poised and untouchable behind money and composure. She receives detectives with cool hospitality, giving nothing away, a woman who has clearly rehearsed grief into something presentable. Her calm reads less like shock than control.

Jeri Ryan plays her with a glassy, watchful stillness that makes every polite answer feel like a held breath. The writing gives her just enough contradiction — warmth that never quite reaches her eyes — to keep Bosch, and the viewer, circling back to her, uncertain whether they're meeting a victim or an opponent.
