Vampire in Coffin

A vampire in a coffin is exactly that: a background gag glimpsed for a beat or two amid Futurama's crowded, joke-dense universe. He does not drive plot or ask for anything beyond existing as one more absurd detail in a world already stuffed with mutants, robots and worse.

The pleasure is entirely in the economy of it. Maurice LaMarche, a voice actor capable of booming gravitas, drops it here for a single throwaway beat, and that restraint is the joke: Futurama trusts a two-second sight gag to land without ceremony, which is its house style at its sharpest.
