Uhtred

Uhtred is a Saxon-born lord raised among Danes after his father's death, and he belongs fully to neither people. Fierce, quick-tempered, and formidable with a sword, he cares more about honor and his word than any king's cause. His single fixed ambition is to reclaim Bebbanburg, the fortress his uncle stole from him.

The show gives him a genuinely divided loyalty rather than a token one, and Dreymon plays that split as constant friction rather than backstory: he's impatient with Christian piety, tender with the Danes who raised him, and prickly with every king he serves. That restlessness, sharpened by real battlefield swagger, makes him compelling to watch scene to scene.
