Ubba

Ubba is one of the sons of Ragnar, a Viking commander leading the Great Heathen Army's campaign into Saxon England. Massive, bearded, and superstitious, he reads omens before battle and trusts his gut over any king's counsel. He wants land and conquest, and he leads from the front, fearless and blunt with his men.

Rune Temte plays him as something closer to a force of nature than a schemer, all bulk and bellowing certainty, which makes his private rituals with bones and signs oddly touching rather than comic. He's the show's early reminder that these invaders aren't cartoon savages but men who genuinely believe the gods are watching.
