Twyla Sands

Twyla runs the Café Tropical, the only real restaurant in town, and greets the newly bankrupt Rose family with unbothered cheerfulness. She pours coffee, mentions unsettling family trivia in the same breath as the specials, and seems entirely unfazed by how strange everyone else finds her. She just likes being helpful.

Sarah Levy plays Twyla with a flat, sunny sincerity that turns every odd little aside into a small gift — she never signals the joke, so the horror or hilarity of what she's just casually revealed lands a beat later, on you. The show trusts her restraint completely, and it pays off every time.
