Turanga Munda

Turanga Munda is the crotchety old alien landlady who owns the apartment Fry moves into after waking up a thousand years in the future. She's suspicious of new tenants, quick to gripe about rent and rules, and treats her building with the weary proprietorship of someone who has seen a thousand years of bad renters.

She's a small, sharp bit of world-building — proof that even in the far future, someone still has to deal with a cranky landlord. Tress MacNeille gives her a gravelly, no-nonsense voice that turns a one-scene character into a believable fixture of Fry's new life, funny precisely because she's so unimpressed by time travel.
