Trooper Witt Farr

Witt Farr is a Minnesota state trooper who arrives on the scene of a strange, escalating case with a notebook, a checklist, and an appetite for doing things properly. He is methodical to the point of fussiness, teams up with local deputy Winnie Lopez, and treats every odd detail — however small — as worth chasing down.

Lamorne Morris plays procedural diligence as a personality rather than a function, giving Farr a dry, slightly anxious precision that makes him funny without undercutting his competence. Fargo needs someone to represent plain decency amid its escalating absurdity and menace, and Farr's earnest, unglamorous persistence is exactly that anchor.
