Trixie

Trixie appears mostly as a background face of the year 3000 in Futurama's crowd scenes and workplace corners, one of Applied Cryogenics' or New New York's many minor drones going about her day. She's not a lead pursuing some grand want; she's texture — the world filled in around Fry, Leela, and Bender.

Futurama's genius is populating its future with dozens of half-sketched citizens who feel like a real, teeming city rather than a cast list, and Trixie is one of those bricks in the wall. Lauren Tom's voice work gives even glancing bit parts a specific, funny cadence, which is exactly the kind of small craft that makes this show's world feel inhabited rather than empty.
