Trixie

Trixie works the Gem Saloon under Al Swearengen's rough protection, and she meets Deadwood's chaos with a temper as sharp as her wit. She's foul-mouthed, quick to violence when pushed, and fiercely intelligent for a woman the camp treats as disposable — already looking for some scrap of dignity or escape.

Paula Malcomson plays the exhaustion under the bravado without ever softening Trixie into a victim; she's funny, dangerous, and tender in unpredictable proportions. The writing refuses to let her be just 'the whore with a heart of gold' — she's calculating, self-destructive, and capable of genuine cruelty, which makes her flashes of loyalty land so much harder.
