Tracey Pritchard works in the BBC's brand and reputation department, fielding complaints and crises with a flat, unimpressed stare. Amid a building full of colleagues drowning in jargon and self-justifying waffle, she says what she actually thinks, usually in one blunt sentence, and gets on with her tea.

Monica Dolan plays her as the still point in a spinning satire: everyone else in W1A talks in circles, and Tracey simply doesn't. The joke is in the gap between her patience and their nonsense, delivered with barely a raised eyebrow, and it lands harder for how rarely she raises her voice at all.
