Touji Suzuhara

Touji Suzuhara is a scrappy, hot-tempered classmate who storms up to Shinji after an Angel attack and decks him, blaming the pilot for his sister's injuries. Loud, proud, and quick with his fists, he presents as pure delinquent bluster — but the anger comes from real love for his family and a rough sense of justice.

He works because the show lets a punch be an introduction and then spends real time undoing the reader's first impression. Beneath the swagger is a kid who worries about his little sister and forms an unexpectedly warm friendship with the boy he hit. The performance sells both the bark and the softness underneath it.
