Tōru Oikawa

Captain of Aoba Johsai's volleyball team and Kageyama's chief rival, Oikawa is the polished, magnetic setter every underclassman wants to be. He's charming to a fault, quick with a grin and a flirtatious line, but underneath the showmanship is a relentless perfectionist who has clawed his way to skill through sheer repetition rather than raw gift.

The show lets his charisma do a lot of camouflaging before revealing how much insecurity and effort sit underneath it. Namikawa plays the public Oikawa breezy and teasing, then lets something tighter and hungrier surface the moment volleyball gets serious — that gap between performance and need is what makes him so watchable.
