Tony Twist

Tony Twist is the widowed father of four kids who move into an old lighthouse on the Australian coast, a sculptor by trade and easygoing by temperament. He treats his children's increasingly bizarre encounters with the supernatural more with curiosity than alarm, and rarely acts as much of a disciplinarian.

Richard Moir plays him with a loose, unbothered warmth that keeps the show grounded even as the plots spiral into ghosts and body-swaps and talking eyeballs. He's the rare TV parent who isn't there to impose order on chaos but to shrug at it, which lets the kids' adventures breathe without adult interference constantly closing them down.
