Character

Tony Sawicki

Tony Sawicki in Orphan Black (2013), played by Tatiana Maslany.

Tony Sawicki turns up as another face in the clone conspiracy Sara Manning has stumbled into — a trans biker living rough on the margins, quick to reach for a gun before he trusts a stranger. He is wary, broke, and used to being underestimated, which makes him dangerous in a fight and hard to read otherwise.

He is one more proof of how far Tatiana Maslany's performance stretches: a swagger and gravel in the voice that share nothing physically with the other clones, yet still feel like the same actress finding a wholly different person. The show uses him sparingly, but he never feels like a stunt — just another life the premise makes room for.

Tony Sawicki, born Antoinette Sawicki, is a transgender clone of American origin introduced in Season 2. Having been in contact with Beth Childs, he was told by Beth that they were related but was not informed of their exact relationship. Sarah Manning later informed him that he is a clone from her batch when they met. Tony's "tag number" is 320C65.
