Tony Blundetto

Fresh out of a seventeen-year prison stretch, Tony Blundetto wants nothing to do with the life that put him there. He talks about becoming a licensed masseur, leans on his cousin Tony Soprano for a fresh start, and carries himself with the careful, watchful calm of a man trying hard to stay out of trouble.

Buscemi plays him with a jittery decency that never quite settles, a man visibly negotiating with his own worst instincts in real time. The show uses him to ask whether anyone actually escapes this world, and Buscemi's nervous warmth makes you want to believe Tony B. might be the one who does.
