Tommen Baratheon

The youngest of Cersei and Robert's children, Tommen inherits the Iron Throne as little more than a boy, more interested in kittens and his new bride than in wielding power. Gentle, biddable, and eager to please, he leans on his mother and his advisors, largely unaware of the storm of ambition surrounding him.

Tommen works because he's the anomaly in a family of wolves — genuinely sweet-natured in a show that treats sweetness as a liability. Dean-Charles Chapman plays him with soft, unguarded openness, so his growing awareness of the cruelty around him lands as quiet tragedy rather than naivety punished.
