Tom Miller

Tom is Ellie Miller's son, a quiet kid navigating school and friendship in the small town of Broadchurch. He's close to Danny Latimer, part of the same tight circle of local kids, and largely untouched by adult worries — until the town around him starts to fracture. Watchful, ordinary, easy to overlook at first.

The show uses Tom as a barometer for how grief and suspicion seep downward into children who don't have the language for either. Adam Wilson underplays it well, giving small, guarded reactions rather than precocious speeches, so you register the damage through silences and averted eyes rather than dialogue.
